Dental Varnish
Description
Provar is a Copal gum-based protective varnish for the institution of the exposed dentine. Reduces presentation of fluids into the tooth and the subsequent placed restoration.
Needs no thinners.
Applications
Provar is the ideal cavity liner and dentinal tubule sealer.
It assures perfect protection to the exposed surface of dentine in teeth prepared for permanent fillings or restorations and is useful as an intermediary varnish before the insertion of amalgams, cement, or composites.
Composition
Method Of Use
Prepare the cavity.
Put a small quantity of cavity varnish on a cotton pellet and apply it on the inner walls of the cavity.
Allow to dry for 40 seconds.
Reapply another layer if necessary.
Use a new cotton pellet for each application.
It is recommended that two thin layers be applied instead of one thick layer.
Storage & Shelf Life
Provar is volatile and inflammable and therefore keep the container away from heat & fire.
Always close the lid immediately after use to avoid contamination and evaporation of the solvent.
Shelf life: 3 Years under proper storage condition.
